This radar is intelligent enough to not go off with vehicles with blind spot or anti-collision sensors. This allows you to use the radar with the auto sensitivity mode, which I'm pretty sure helps to eliminate false alarms. I use the app without the subscription, which has served me well so far. The Cobra Smart app is definitively a plus. I have used in heavy traffic in the city as well as on the highway. I have all the bands turned on and have not gotten any false alarm since I started using it about a week ago. ![]() I use it in South Carolina where the predominant Band (at least in the area were I travel) is the Ka Band.
